Watering your garden will be easy. It will also be more efficient. You do not need as much water for raised bed gardens. You only need to water the plants, not the surrounding area. You can fertilize easier too. Simply mix fertilizers with a paint mixer in a bucket. Make sure that you do not use your Kitchenaid hand mixer for outside purposes. It is durable and versatile, but not meant for those uses.

Bad storms can ruin crops. You can cover them and protect them easily. Cold weather can kill your crops. You can keep them alive much longer by covering them at night. Raised bed gardens are simple to cover.

Raised beds can be beautiful landscape additions. They hold many advantages over a normal garden plot. Use your imagination and create something beautiful.

    Certainly a raised bed backyard garden is more beneficial in many aspect of gardening. You had pointed most of the advantages but one disadvantage it has is the capability of the soil in a raised bed garden to reinvigorate itself. Specially if you are vegetable gardener in which different kinds of crops requires different kinds of nutrients and by planting the same crop over and over, depletes the soil of one particular nutrient. The soil in a raised be garden cannot supply the needed nutrient thus constant fertilization is required.
